Patrick Foran is an artist and educator based in Buffalo, NY.

His recent projects have considered history painting in the context of a global “state of exception,” iterations of “the wall” in political ideology, the computer modeling of human remains, machine vision and false color, and the facelessness of portraiture. Originally from Michigan, he studied English and Visual Studies at Cornell University (MA) and Art and Visual Studies at the University at Buffalo (MFA). He lives in Buffalo, NY, where he teaches painting, drawing, and design at the State University of New York at Fredonia and Niagara County Community College.
